Warehouse Internal Partition – Debris Containment – Bombardier Aerospace

Bombardier Aerospace specialises in major aircraft structures including fuselages, wings, engine nacelles and flight control surfaces in metal and advanced composites.

During a major extension to their factory in Belfast, they needed to screen off the working part of the factory to maintain production operations, whilst allowing construction work to take place.

With a limited time window to carry out the installation, Tufcoat installed large Industrial screening, 94m (308’) long by 19m (62’) high, over a single weekend, for debris containment to maintain a contamination free working environment.

The 1658 square metre industrial screen was constructed from panels of 12m x 50m, 190 micron, flame retardant Tufcoat shrink wrap film. At each overlap sheets were heat welded together to create a complete seal against dust and debris.

Finally, the entire industrial screen was heat shrunk drum tight to provide a partition that was both visually attractive and effective.
