Utilising printed shrink-wrap for weatherproofing community housing during roof replacement
Tufcoat worked with Westward Housing and JEM Scaffolding to provide weatherproofing at Plymouth House and ensure that over 70 vulnerable people could remain in residence whilst the £1m refurbishment took place. Due to the location of the project, the contractors and client required a product to ensure the roof replacement wasn’t delayed in the winter weather.
We used our printed shrink-wrap product, Wraphix™ to promote all of the various contractors involved with the project; increasing project awareness in the City whilst still benefitting from the weatherproofing protection of shrink-wrap.
“This was our first printed shrink-wrap job. It was a challenging install due to the locations proximity to the sea and the height of the scaffold. The inclement weather didn’t help either with wind speeds recorded at 50mph on site at times. We also had to recognise the safety aspect of the residents remaining in situ, so there were many unique considerations on this project.”
