Milestone Project: Modular encapsulation for Sellafield Nuclear Site

Our largest modular shrink-wrap project to date has earned a spot on our birthday milestone list thanks in part to its impressive scale.

Tufcoat were contracted to wrap 11 prefabricated modules required for the creation of the Evaporator D Facility located at the Sellafield Nuclear Site in Cumbria. The modules varied in size with the largest measuring 27m x 12.5m x 7.5 m and weighing in at over 500 tonnes. We provided the final encapsulation to ensure the modules left the fabrication facility and arrived in pristine condition at Sellafield after being transported by road and barge.
