One of our most iconic projects in the last 21 years involved the use of scaffold wrap to provide containment and maintain aesthetics.
Tufcoat were awarded the contract to encapsulate the decommissioned Lots Road Power Station, part of the £1bn Chelsea Waterfront regeneration project. The buildings’ façade had to be preserved and incorporated into the new development with QFS Scaffolding identifying shrink-wrap to be the most adaptable product to encapsulate the internal scaffolding around the ‘branches’ and towers of the 800 tonnes of façade retention steelwork.
“This was a large scale, high-profile encapsulation project for us which it why it makes the milestone project list. Using our shrink-wrap skills to provide scaffold wrap for debris containment, helped the client to maintain the aesthetics of the site whilst improving safety and reducing asbestos removal costs.”
